An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our award-winning service based in the beautiful country town of Midhurst. We are a community-based multidisciplinary team offering specialist palliative care to patients and their families in their homes, in nursing and care homes, and in community hospitals. We work across coastal West Sussex, south east Hampshire, and Guildford and Waverley CCGs, alongside nineteen GP practices.
This is a Bank Post to work alongside the Clinical Nurse Specialists to support our patients with complex palliative needs providing expert psycho-social support, symptom control and financial advice, within the context of the individual's cultural and spiritual needs. We are a friendly team who will welcome and support you.
We are an innovative service and we can offer interventions at home including blood transfusions, IV bisphosphonates, drainage of ascites and subcutaneous fluids to avoid acute admission where appropriate.
We support professional development, continuing education and revalidation, and we participate in audit and research. As we are hosted by Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust our staff enjoy the benefits of NHS employment conditions. You will be employed by Staff Direct at the Trust but working your hours with our team. We are flexible in our approach and require Bank Clinical Nurse Specialist to support our team during this busy time.
We participate in a weekend and an out-of-hours rota offering telephone support in the evenings and overnight with pay enhancement commensurate to this to ensure enhanced support to our patients and their families.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
