Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust (SCFT), are pleased to offer a fully funded training opportunity for the role of Student Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (School Nurse). The course will start in January 2021 and studies will be undertaken at the University of Brighton for 50% of the course and the remaining 50% in School practice based with one of our West Sussex 5-19 Healthy Child Programme teams (Arundel, Crawley, Horsham, Lancing or Mid-Sussex).

 

This vacancy is only available for applicants who already hold a nursing qualification with current NMC registration.

 

You will be employed with Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust (SCFT) on a one year fixed-term contract to undertake the BSc/PGDip/MSc Specialist Community Public Health Nurse course (School Nurse) at the University of Brighton. The salary is band 5 £24, 907 - £27,416 depending on previous experience - the maximum salary is band 5 (4-5 years); £27,416. No incremental uplift is paid for duration of this training contract.

 

Successful completion of the course will lead to registration on Part 3 of the NMC register, an NMC recordable qualification, and eligibility to apply for a post as a School Nurse.
