The Immunology and Allergy outpatient department in the Queens Centre CHH has a vacancy for an enthusiastic nurse to join a progressive MDT team who provide care for patients with complex immunological and allergic conditions, with a wide variety of needs.

As an MDT we work very closely with the medical team and have links with regional and national networks. The department provides specialised care for patients covering a wide geographical area.

 This speciality requires the post holder work well as part of a professional team and also to be capable of autonomous practice and supervision of staff. 

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a small team for applicants with a minimum of 2 years post registration experience, with enhanced core skills including cannulation, phlebotomy and administration of IV drugs.

This role is ideal for someone who wishes to further his or her professional development within a rapidly developing specialist area of practice. You need to have a positive approach to problem solving, excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver high standards of fundamental care to patients.

The role includes working within an outpatient setting,  and also providing specialist treatments including; immunoglobulin infusions, allergen immunotherapy and complex allergy testing.

At present the service operates Monday to Friday.

HUTH provides specialist and tertiary services to a population of 1.25 million extending from Scarborough in North Yorkshire to Grimsby and Scunthorpe in North East and North Lincolnshire respectively.
