Join Our Cardiology & Cardiothoracic Nursing Team
Are you a compassionate and skilled nurse looking to make a real impact in specialist care? We’re looking for a dedicated professional to join our dynamic Cardiology/Cardiothoracic team, where patient-centred care is at the heart of everything we do.
In this role, you'll be instrumental in delivering high-quality care to patients and their families — from planning and assessment through to implementation and evaluation, following established care pathways.
You’ll also support the smooth running of the unit by developing strong organisational and leadership skills, contributing to a positive learning environment for all staff.
In addition to clinical duties, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the safe use, cleaning, and maintenance of essential equipment to uphold our high standards of safety and care.

Main duties of the job
Your role will include planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of patient’s care following agreed care pathways, assisting with the provision of an environment conductive to the education of staff and the cleaning, maintenance and safe handling of equipment.
You will need to be proficient in the care of patient’s pre and post cardiac intervention, including scrub skills for the cardiac catheter lab and sheath removal, demonstrating skills in the care and management of the critically ill patient, working closely with all members of the care team to ensure the needs of the critically ill patient are met.
You will develop and maintain good unit management and organisational skills and assist with the provision of an environment conductive to the education of staff.
