Job overview
Ready to step into a leadership role and make a real impact? We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and confident nurse to join us as a Charge Nurse within our Endoscopy service.
In this key role, you will support and deputise for the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and the effective management of staff, resources, and daily operations. You’ll take the lead in coordinating activity across the Endoscopy Unit, including admissions, recovery, procedure rooms, pre‑assessment, audits, and the management of inpatient referrals.
You’ll also play a vital role in ensuring that all flexible endoscopes and specialist equipment are safely decontaminated, maintained, and compliant with agreed guidelines, supporting the highest standards of safety and quality.
Initially, you will work with our friendly and dedicated team in the temporary Endoscopy Unit at Orsett. In April 2027, the service will relocate to a brand-new, purpose‑built Community Diagnostic Centre in Pitsea, offering a modern environment designed to enhance both staff and patient experience.
If you’re enthusiastic, organised, and ready to lead with confidence, apply now and take the next exciting step in your nursing career.
