Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital provider in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), which is a system of health and care partners working together for our local population.

Within Mid and South Essex there are 149 GP practices, operating from over 200 sites, forming 27 Primary Care Networks and one Ambulance Trust. There are also three main community and mental health service providers who work together through a community collaborative.

We collaborate with other valuable partners, including three Healthwatch organisations, nine voluntary and community sector organisations and three top tier local authorities, with seven district, borough and city councils, as well as our local universities.

 

Job overview

We are looking for a pro-active and self-motivated clinical support worker who is passionate about delivering high quality patient care.

Working in the Children's Emergency Unit  at Basildon can be a challenging but rewarding clinical environment. We are looking for someone who is a good team player and will bring a positive attitude to the Trust and have a flexible approach to working. You must have excellent communication, organisational and team working skills.

Main duties of the job

To apply for this role you must have had experience working in a hospital, the role will include working flexibly days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

As part of the highly skilled team, you will be expected to carry out duties which include basic observations, support with feeding, support with play and one to one activities. You will also be expected to assist the qualified nurses in cleaning and decontamination and infection control procedures.

As part of the team you will be given the opportunity to train and learn essential skills for the job.
