Job overview
Our maternity unit are looking for a registered scrub nurse to become part of our maternity theatre team.
We are looking for an individual who is confident within their role of scrub, who is enthusiastic and is looking for a new challenge. You will work with a small theatre team, and a wider midwifery team to provide care to our women and birthing people who have chosen to birth their baby with us.
Your skills will be used during elective and emergency caesareans, trials of instrumental births and other complications during pregnancy and childbirth.
Ideally you will be someone who already has succeeded with their scrub competencies and is ready to join our maternity team for a new challenge.

Main duties of the job
You Scrub during emergency and elective caesarean sections and during trials of instrumental births.
You will work within our post operative area providing care to our women and birthing people
Ensure accurate record keeping, using relevant systems and resources according to the area they are working within
Be aware of the responsibilities of all employees to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors and other staff members.
Take part in rotation through all specialities in the departments to meet the needs of the service, where required.
