This post in Vascular Services is based at Glan Clwyd Hospital, Rhyl, North Wales.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our nursing vascular team as part of the vascular network based at Glan Clwyd Hospital in North Wales. Ideally we are seeking a registered advanced clinical practitioner who is experienced in vascular and is willing to work toward developing in leadership and management to lead the Band 7 ACPs and vascular specialist nurses across 3 sites, as a Band 8a. However, if you are a Band 6 or Band 7 registered nurse looking to develop your nursing career by engaging in a development trainee advanced nurse practitioner post or an advanced nurse practitioner who is willing to further develop the pillar of leadership and management, then please consider applying.
Main duties of the job
The vascular service across North Wales utilises the hub and spoke model. Ysbyty Glan Clwyd is the hub accepting all patients that require elective and emergency arterial surgery from both the hub and spoke sites. Ysbyty Glan Clwyd has a hybrid theatre to perform interventional procedures such as EVAR for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repairs.

Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse – Part 1,2,12
- First degree in nursing / equivalent level of training
- Evidence of masters working via a current portfolio.
- Relevant Teaching / assessment programme
Desirable criteria
- Masters degree once practicing as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of key professional issues, and NMC guidelines and codes, relating to professional practice
- Knowledge of current national guidance and its application in the work place.
