Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

The Andover Day Surgery Unit & Endoscopy is a diverse, multidisciplinary environment which requires flexible and adaptable skills, an aptitude to learn and a motivation to develop your own skills.

You will be assisting in a vast range of endoscopy procedures which will include colonoscopy, gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy as well as generally working alongside the nursing team in all other areas.

Decontamination will also play a part in your role, and you will support and assist the decontamination team when required, in providing a specialised decontamination and tracking of endoscopes.  Therefore, it is vital that you acquire all the necessary skills & knowledge to be able to work independently in both environments within a very busy unit.

The department offers a supportive and learning environment which endeavours to constantly develop the service, in order that its patients receive the highest quality and most up to date care.

This is a very patient-focused service, and the successful candidate will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work across a range of different environments. The primary base is Andover Hospital, although on occasion you may be required to work individual shifts at one of the other Trust sites if necessary.
