Job overview
To support the qualified practitioners in the delivery of a 5 (sometimes 6) days a week service, this includes working in speciality clinics such as Colposcopy, urogynaecology and procedure clinics. Occasionally you may be asked to support the Women's health assessment or inpatient unit.
Clinics start at 0800 and finish around 1730, so these would be the desired hours required from the candidate.
Main duties of the job
To support the qualified practitioners in outpatient clinics, duties include but are not limited to:
- Chaperoning
- Checking patients in
- Assisting in procedural clinics
- Ordering stock

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To support the qualified practitioners in the delivery of a 5 (sometimes 6) days a week service, this includes:
· Providing effective evidence based care for patients referred to the service under the supervision of qualified practitioners
· Using personal effectiveness and knowledge to contribute to the development and delivery of a high quality, cost effective service.
· To work closely with the Multidisciplinary Team.
· To take responsibility for the Gynaecology outpatient area stock supplies and ordering.
· Mange the preparation of notes for clinics
· Completion of audits.
· To maintain standards within the outpatient area.

Training + Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSE Grades 1-3 or D-G (Department for Education: June 2017)
Desirable criteria
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent or above in Health or Health and Social Care or working towards an award
Training + Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Good grasp of English language
Desirable criteria
- ESOL level 2 or equivalent (if English not first language)
Experience + knowledge
Essential criteria
- Previous experience in a Health/Health and Social Care role.
Desirable criteria
- Previous gynaecology outpatients experience
