Job overview

Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT) has a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of the Community Perinatal Team.

We are one of the leading Mental Health and Learning Disability Trusts in the UK and rated “outstanding” by the CQC since 2019. The specialist Community Perinatal Team (CPT) was launched in April 2017, to expand our provision of mental health care and services for women with moderate to severe mental illnesses throughout Hertfordshire.

The Community Perinatal Team is an accredited, thriving, supportive and well-regarded specialist multi-disciplinary team covering the whole of Hertfordshire. The team comprises of Doctors, Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Parent-Infant Psychologists, Family Therapists, Peer Support workers, Nursery Nurses and team administrators.

You will join the established team as an experienced Community Psychiatric Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker and will work across our Care Coordination and Initial Assessment team delivering timely, accessible services to women and families through a community-based model of perinatal mental health care.

You will ensure, in collaboration with other clinical colleagues, that professional practice meets standards as set by statute, regulatory and other professional bodies and HPFT.

We have a team base in Watford but work in a remote and agile way across the county.
