Job overview

We are recruiting for a Public Health Midwife who wishes to join #TeamIOWNHS. You should share our passion and drive to ensure that our patients receive quality and compassionate care and work with us to ensure the Trust continues its journey towards “Working Together, Improving Together”. 

Main duties of the job

  • Advocate for public health issues relevant to women using maternity services including stop smoking support and weight management.
  • Develop action plans to support health promotion delivery for women using maternity services.
  • To work proactively within the maternity department and the Isle of Wight NHS Trust for best practice and to network regionally and nationally to identify and work towards support for public health issues.
  • Provide peer support for health initiatives led by specialist colleagues including mental health, vaccinations and infant feeding.
