We are recruiting for a Team Lead to join our professional team in Folkestone.
The Community Neuro Rehabilitation Teams within East Kent are multi-disciplinary teams that include Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Specialist Nurses and Therapy Assistants.
We work within patients’ homes, rehabilitation groups, Community Hospitals and other care settings, to ensure effective discharge planning and a seamless rehabilitation pathway. We provide holistic assessment of patients’ needs and help patients achieve maximum independence in daily living activities and improved well-being.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for managing staffing levels in line with the agreed service establishment. Management of sickness, travel, Agresso and Equipment provision will be expected.
The clinical team will consist of a range of nursing, therapy and non-registered staff. The post holder will have overall accountability in ensuring that a robust supervision and appraisal structure is in place and will be directly responsible for line managing the Band 6 staff.
The post holder will be expected to work across the South Kent Coast locality.
This role is to be split between Clinical and Team Management responsibilities.
The post holder will be:
· Responsible for the management of the clinical team within allocated locality, ensuring an integrated approach to service delivery.
· To manage the day to day running of the clinical team and to have responsibility for the ongoing management and performance of the team on a daily basis.
· To have overall responsibility in ensuring the resources of the team are used effectively ensuring the right professional is delivering the right care to the right patient at the right time.
· To support the Clinical Operational Manager and Head of Service in the strategic development of services and be instrumental in delivering the organisational objectives and values at an operational level.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Relevant professional qualification e.g. RGN.
- BSc Hons Education to degree level.
- Registered with professional body.
- ENB 998 or teaching and assessing Qualification. Management/Leadership training.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
Desirable criteria
- Masters level study
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of Inter-agency working.
- Specialist Clinical Skills e.g. Falls / Neuro management or member of SIG.
- Experience of managing a clinical team.
- Demonstratable community experience as a Band 6 / 7.
- Evidence of innovative clinical practice development.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of up to date clinical practice and current issues in the health and social care economy.
- Research awareness.
