Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire and Sefton area. The Trust was first established in 2002 and employs approximately 7,000 staff who provide care from more than 400 sites

Lancashire and South Cumbria Foundation Trust (LSCFT) are currently investing in the mental health services provided in south Cumbria. LSCFT currently provides a 15 bedded mixed sex dementia inpatient unit in Barrow in Furness which provides assessment intervention and treatment to patients with Dementia. Throughout the patient’s admission an individual care package will be identified to support their future needs and that of their Families and Carers.

Barrow in Furness is located in an enviable location it is surrounded by the sea and with easy accessible routes into the Lake District. It has internationally renowned wildlife sites and a wealth of industrial and historical heritage sites.

We are looking for highly motivated Staff nurses who are passionate about older people’s care and will be committed to the ongoing service development. The successful candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent clinical and interpersonal qualities, have a positive outlook and ensure that delivering a quality service, which genuinely engages with service users, carers and other stakeholders, is a key priority.

The successful post holder will be required to work shifts covering 24 hours, seven days a week.

We are inviting applications from RMN’s who are currently registered with the NMC or from student nurses due to register in 2020.

Please note: This post is subject to an enhanced DBS Clearance. As part of the pre-employment checks, successful candidates will be required to pay for their own DBS check at a cost of £46. Deductions will be taken from the first 3 months salary.
