  • Primary and secondary mental health care for children and adults, including specialist inpatient child and adolescent mental health provision, perinatal mental health, and forensic services with low and medium secure care.
  • Specialist mental health inpatient care for individuals with learning disabilities, alongside specialist community support for children and adults with learning disabilities and autism, including intensive support.
  • Extensive community physical health and well-being services for children and adults, covering prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and long-term condition management.

The Trust was first established in 2002 and employs approximately 7,500 staff who provide care from more than 400 sites. The organisation offers opportunities for medics, mental health, general nurses, children’s nurses, allied health professionals, psychology, administration and clerical staff, apprentices and volunteers, as well as those specialising in learning disabilities and community physical health services.

Blackpool Community Mental Health Team has an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Team Leader.

You will be a visionary and culturally competent individual ready to make a tangible impact within Blackpool's vibrant and complex community.

You will provide strong operational and clinical leadership, ensuring the delivery of high quality person centred care.

You will deliver high quality supervision and appraisal, leading a dedicated multidisciplinary team within an area characterised by rich social diversity with significant economic challenges.

In turn you will be supported with access to a range of leadership training and development opportunities alongside a supportive leadership network within and around the team.

Main duties of the job

•    To actively promote teamwork, respect, integrity, accountability, excellence and compassion within the ward team in accordance with the Trust values and NMC code of conduct, Social Work England, HCPC code etc.

•    To oversee and ensure that leadership within the multidisciplinary team provides effective assessment, formulation, planning and monitoring of care given to service users

Essential criteria
  • Degree Level or equivalent experience and relevant core professional qualification (NMC, Social Work England or HCPC registered)
  • Master’s Degree in relevant subject or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Practice Education, Mentor/Teaching (ENB 998) or equivalent / demonstration of teaching / supervision experience

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Evidence of extensive professional clinical Knowledge, skill and experience
  • Evidence of management development through continuous professional development and/or formal management courses

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of partnership working across a range of agencies and professional boundaries
  • Experience in managing change processes at an operational level
  • Experience in Performance Management
