37.5 HOURS PER WEEK (FULL TIME)
Acute Adult Division
An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen to join a well-established respiratory team as a full time Respiratory Nurse Specialist.
This post will cover all work within airways disease, including (but not exclusive to) COPD, Asthma, Bronchiectasis and home oxygen related work. We are also working virtually with some of our patient groups which is an exciting and ongoing development.

Main duties of the job
Description of Post
A opportunity has arisen for the Thoracic team to recruit an experienced qualified nurse within the respiratory department. You do not need to have experience within the speciality to apply – just a desire to contribute to the team working and acquire new skills.
The successful applicant will work full time within the team as a Band 6 Respiratory Nurse Specialist, mainly contributing to the home visiting service but may also be expected to contribute to ward and clinic work. Being a car driver is therefore essential. Some weekend work will be expected.
The post will offer the successful candidate an opportunity to develop skills in respiratory care in home visits, speciality clinics and in-patient care. Skills that will be enhanced will be consultation skills, expert knowledge of respiratory treatments and managing patients in a holistic manner.
