You must be happy to undertake specific disease related training to include the Salford IBD module and eventually, non-medical prescribing.

You must be confident and be familiar with talking to people in a variety of different situations and settings. Completion of communication courses would be ideal. You should be confident and not be afraid to speak up for yourself, your patients and the service in a professional manner. Previous experience in demonstrating leadership skills like this would be advantageous.

You will use clinical skills that are pertinent to the role such as for example, history taking skills. This role involves a great deal of talking, listening and critical thinking.

You will be challenged to make decisions and will learn to safety net and give advice about what to do if things don't go to plan for the patient. You must be willing to accept this transition and learning curve.

Working for our organisation

You’ll have access to varied development opportunities, learn new skills, meet fab people & do things you’d never have done.  You’ll learn about working in a hospital, interacting with people from all different roles to build skills & enhance your career path.
