Working as part of our dynamic team who work tirelessly to deliver our mass vaccination programme safely and at pace, we are looking for you to make your mark and play your part helping us keep the fantastic momentum we have created going. This not only includes working in the mass vaccination centres, but in visiting patients homes, care homes, hard to reach communities, and delivering the vaccination service from Lancashire County Council's vaccination bus
You’ll be more than willing to be trained to do the role, and we provide excellent on-line and on-site training.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for:

· Reviewing patient medical histories and any potential adverse reactions.
· Preparing the vaccine prior to administration by using aseptic technique.
· Dilution and drawing up of the vaccine from multi-dose vials.
· Assisting with the configuration of the vaccination pod and vaccination station
· Ensuring the best possible clinical outcomes by using up-to-date skills and adhering to policies and procedures.
Working primarily at our Mass Vaccination Sites at St Johns in Preston and at Chorley Hospital, but of course, we know you will appreciate the need to be flexible to support our other sites and outreach services as required. Keeping the show on the road is crucial, so this flexibility is massively appreciated.
Working for our organisation
We will be the lead employer for this vacancy on behalf of the local area so you will be joining a fantastic workforce who put patient care at the heart of everything we do.
Our opportunities of course extend beyond just this, when you join our Bank you will have chance to ‘try before you buy’ for other roles in different areas. We welcome you with open arms and can’t wait to meet you when you start.
