NIHR Lancashire Clinical Research Facility Senior Research Sister/Charge Nurse

Band 7

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals is committed to leading improvements in healthcare through Research and Innovation. The NIHR Lancashire Clinical Research Facility (LCRF) (Royal Preston Hospital) is a dynamic environment for the support and development of early phase health research, innovation and clinical trials. We are a small team with a growing portfolio of first in human and early phase experimental trials. Oncology, neurosciences and dementia are our specialisms although we are developing a portfolio other themes too.

As a relatively new CRF, you will have the opportunity to shape and grow the service into a successful business with the safety of patients and staff at the heart of what we deliver.

We are offering the right candidate the opportunity to lead our experienced and highly skilled team. Your role will be to support the development and delivery of the early phase research portfolio. Experience in working in the clinical research facility or early phase research environment is desirable in order to safely manage the studies and team.

You will have access to high quality training and continued professional development. You will be part of a supportive team with the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills. You will be provided with a comprehensive induction programme and have a personal development plan tailored to your training and development needs.

We require a person with leadership experience and a proven record of work in research especially early phase delivery. You will be self-motivated and driven to build and grow a team of nurses and clinical studies officers who will offer our patients a service of the highest quality.
We pride ourselves on being able to give bespoke care to our patients. We are looking for a nurse leader who can help us grow and become part of our research family.
