Bereavement and Donor Support Specialist Nurse

Band 7

We are pleased to offer this exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to join our Bereavement and Donor Support Team for 12 months. You should be able to apply your healthcare expertise and passion to improve bereavement care throughout our busy teaching hospitals and partner organisations.


The post holder will lead the bereavement and donor team to continually develop Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust bereavement and donation model of care, across the organisation, supporting bereaved families, raising awareness of and supporting  all donation potential Trust wide including facilitation of eye retrievals. The post holder will ensure outstanding care is provided to families using the bereavement centre. The post holder will lead on educational programmes for all disciplines of health care staff and volunteers.
