Advanced Health Care Assistant

Band 3

Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust is on an improvement journey, with a strong focus on delivering quality care to our population of around 440,000 people.  We provide a comprehensive range of secondary care services from three main centres, Grimsby, Goole and Scunthorpe, as well as community services in North Lincolnshire.

We aim to combine our patient first approach with innovation and creativity against a backdrop of holistic team working, as encapsulated in our vision and values – kindness, courage, and respect.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Advanced Health Care Assistant to join our team on the Rainforest Ward in Grimsby.

The role will involve caring for and supporting infants, children, young people aged 0-16years and their families.  You must have an understanding of the needs of children whilst in hospital as this can be very stressful for them and their families.  You must have good communication skills, including IT skills and be motivated to make a difference to the lives of children.

The ward cares for children 24/7 and you will be expected to work alongside the registered nursing staff on a rotational basis days, nights and weekends.  the shift pattern is 0700- 1930hrs and 1900-0730hrs.

A full induction programme will be offered, during which time you will be supported by our friendly and supportive team. The post provides opportunities for training and development to further advance your skills and career.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
