Join our dynamic team at The Vales, a 15-bed rehabilitation unit at Discovery House, which is undergoing an exciting transformation into a level 2 mental health unit. We are seeking an experienced inpatient ward manager who is dedicated to delivering relational and trauma-informed care.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support a committed team, maintain high standards, and focus on hope, recovery, and successful discharge outcomes. If you are enthusiastic about working in a supportive environment and making a positive impact, we would love to hear from you.

Work alongside the Clinical Lead to Manage and hold 24-hour responsibility for the provision of clinical care on a ward.
To co-ordinate and make effective use of staff, supervise staff and ensure training is maintained.
To ensure adequate staffing levels and provide clinical leadership for staff.
To ensure cost effective use of resources

- Degree in mental health and social care or equivalent: 1st Level Registration (NMC,HPC)
- Evidence of specialised continued professional training (degree level) in clinical practice

- Post Graduate Certificate in Leadership
- Masters Degree
Experience

- Post-Registration experience of working with adults with mental health needs.
- Experience of managing staff and good leadership skills.
- Experience in using psychological and acute interventions with up to date knowledge of evidence-based practice.
- Highly developed clinical reasoning skills.
- Sound knowledge of the national agenda for mental health.
- Sound knowledge of clinical / risk assessment and understanding of confidentiality.
- • Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005
