We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 4 Assistant Research Practitioner to
work within the Cardiology Research and Development team at Lincoln County hospital. The
Lincolnshire Clinical Research Facility (CRF) was established in 2005 to promote and deliver
commercial and non-commercial studies across the United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust.
The main objective of the CRF is to facilitate, co-ordinate, support and manage clinical
trials to be conducted across the spectrum of diseases.
We are looking for an enthusiastic flexible person to join our research team who will work
closely with cardiology research nurses/officers, CRF manager, consultants, the Research
and Innovation support department and CRF Director to provide necessary high quality
administrative support producing reports for the cardiovascular research programme.
The successful candidate will support the coordination of clinical trial administration and
data collection delivering aspects of direct patient care in compliance with Good Clinical
Research Practice and Trust values to ensure that the highest quality research delivery is
afforded to patients and carers at all times.
The successful candidate will be willing to undertake training and to provide support to the
Research Nurses for venepuncture, ECGs and processing and shipment of clinical specimens
for the conduct of our clinical trials. It is essential to be able to use a keyboard with a high
degree of speed and accuracy for typing, database maintenance/design and inputting of
information onto Medway and clinical trial systems.
The successful candidate will benefit from working within a dedicated friendly research team
with access to support and training to develop their skills within research.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
