Job overview

The King's Staff Bank offers flexible working patterns which support you and the Trust, and can also provide regular lines of work in the PRUH and our Bromley sites for day shifts, Monday-Friday.

We are looking for NHS experienced Healthcare Assistants who can work supervised under qualified staff and to provide support in the delivery of quality care for patients. To provide a full range of support functions in a ward/department/theatre or critical environment. This will include undertaking personal care duties for patients, clerical duties and reporting patient conditions to qualified staff. Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of service users, and always working in a manner that promotes dignity and human rights through the adoption of person-centered care principles.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • NVQ Level II in Care or equivalent experience/education
  • Evidence of general education e.g. GCSE's or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • IT Skills

Experience & Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Demonstrable recent Acute hospital experience of at least 6 months
  • Previous work experience which includes team working, communicating with staff and colleagues and understanding of work practices.

Skills and Abilities

Essential criteria
  • Understanding of the requirements of patient confidentiality
  • Clear and accurate written verbal Communication
  • Forms effective working relationships with colleagues and work within a team
Desirable criteria
  • IT skills
