Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust Ophthalmology service  provides a  number of services across different settings  in North London. 

We are recruiting into a full time Band 5 position in our ophthalmology department at Edgware community   Hospital.  The post involves multi site working , Wednesday at Chasefarm Hospital and Friday am at Barnet Hospital

 

 

 

 

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job

Working in a friendly  environment you will be responsible for the assessment and planning of care needs for Ophthalmic patients in a clinic  and day surgery  setting.

Previous experience in Ophthalmology would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.

In addition to the eye clinic at Edgware community   Hospital site, we also have ophthalmic clinics in other hospitals within the foundation trust and you will be expected to work there i.e. Barnet Hospital and Chasefarm Hospital. 

Working in a team you will be responsible for assessing patients and preparing them for doctors assessment in clinics as well as working in nurse led clinics e.g. pre-operative assessment, intravitreal injection  and fundus Fluorescein angiography clinics

This post is only available to  Nurses who already have full NMC registration or student nurses awaiting their pin.  Not suitable for nurses requiring OSCE.

This is a full time post.  The hours will be worked across 5  days .  Mon-Friday .  The post involves some 08:00 starts and 18:00 finishes
