Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and highly motivated nurse  to join our dedicated Main Outpatients Nursing team as an Junior Sister/Charge Nurse.

We are seeking a nurse who has experience in Outpatient Nursing or a strong willingness to undertake relevant competencies / training, has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and is passionate about delivering high-quality patient-centred care .

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of patient care, facilitation of the day-to-day management of staff and liaise appropriately with all key members of the multi-disciplinary team and service users related to the speciality.

Main duties of the job

•The post holder will be expected to liaise appropriately with all key members of the multi-disciplinary team and service users related to the speciality. 

• To be responsible for all aspects of patient care including the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of direct patient care. 

• To take the lead on delegated responsibilities as defined by the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse. 

• To support the Charge Nurse/Senior Sister to monitor the safety and quality of care for patients. 

• In the absence of the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to be responsible for the day-to-day management of the ward. 

• To manage a delegated group of Band 2- 5 staff ensuring compliance of mandatory training and appraisal requirements. 

• To ensure a positive focused service incorporating patients’ feedback to maintain and improve patient care. 

• To act as an effective role model promoting excellence through practice
