Job overview

In concert with senior members of the cardiology clinical and operational team develop the Cardiac Rehabilitation Service to best fit the need of our patients ensuring equality of access to all and world class care, including the development of virtual Cardiac Rehabilitation classes.

Main duties of the job

·       The post holder will be  responsible for all aspects of patient care in the Cardiac Rehabilitation service including the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of individual Cardiac Rehabilitation plans.

·         The post holder will play  an essential part in providing a comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation service that enables patients with cardiac disease to maximise their recovery potential, improve quality of life and to minimise future risk factors.

 Work autonomously as a specialist practitioner in both the in-patient and out- patient settings
  To be responsible for the supervision and development of all staff including student nurses and support workers, providing support, advice and training.
 To effectively manage the service resources and staffing to ensure the smooth running of the service

In collaboration with the Lead Nurse, audit agreed clinical guidelines of practice, policies and benchmarks within area of clinical responsibility.
