Job overview
Our Gynaecology Department is seeking a dedicated Menopause Lead Nurse to provide specialised care, education, and support for women navigating this critical stage of life.
As a Menopause CNS, you’ll be at the forefront of empowering women to understand and manage their menopause journey with confidence. In this role, you will:
Main duties of the job
Lead and Innovate: Shape and deliver specialised menopause care services, utilising the latest clinical guidelines and holistic approaches.
Educate and Empower: Provide personalised guidance and education to patients, supporting them in symptom management, lifestyle changes, and treatment options.
Collaborate with Experts: Work closely with our nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team of British Menopause Society (BMS ) accredited menopause specialists made up of consultant gynaecologist, consultant in sexual health, GP, consultant pharmacist and counsellor to deliver comprehensive, patient-centred care.
Be a Trusted Resource: Act as the primary contact for women seeking advice and support, fostering a positive and open environment for discussing menopause-related issues.

Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years in Menopause and Gynaecology
- Honours degree in Nursing, research or ethics (2)
Desirable criteria
- 2 years relevant post reg in menopause service/gynaecology (2)
- BMS/FSRH advanced menopause certificate (2)
Skills
Essential criteria
- Working with MDT
- Able to initiate, sustain and evaluate change.
Desirable criteria
- Nurse prescriber (2)
- Member of BMS and expertise in menopause service (2)
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Involved in Research and audits
- Evidence of ability to work autonomously

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
