The London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust (LNWH) is a research-active Trust. Our research teams and R&I are committed to improving healthcare services by promoting and supporting a wide range of high-quality research.

The post holder is expected to be proactive in educating clinical staff on the specifics of running clinical trials. You should demonstrate the ability to manage your workload and work as part of a team.

Previous experience working within a clinical research environment is essential. This post offers excellent opportunities to gain managerial experience and maintain your clinical skills.

The post will be based at Northwick Park Hospital. The London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust comprises Northwick Park & St Mark’s Hospitals in Harrow, Central Middlesex Hospital in Park Royal, and Ealing Hospital.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for assessing and managing the care pathways for patients and carers participating in clinical studies. This will involve the recruitment, education, and monitoring of patients in studies, as well as the collection and documentation of accurate data. You will work collaboratively with different clinical studies teams and the wider multi-disciplinary team (MDT) in managing your own caseload of patients in clinical research studies.

The post holder will support the consent process, including explaining standard and research treatments, risks, benefits, and side effects. They will be responsible for randomisation, completion of case report forms (CRFs), and maintaining accurate records according to ICH-GCP (Good Clinical Practice).

Although the post holder will be based at Northwick Park Hospital, they will be expected to work flexibly across the Trust.
