Key responsibilities
Patient Care: Deliver high-quality nursing care tailored to individual patient needs, ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficacy.
Assessment and Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' eye conditions, develop individualized care plans, and prioritize patient care based on clinical urgency.
Clinical Procedures: Administer prescribed treatments, assist with and
perform specialized ophthalmic procedures, and maintain all ophthalmic
equipment.
Patient Interaction: Provide clear and empathetic communication to patients and their families,
 Team Collaboration: Maintain effective communication with the
multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive and coordinated patient care.
Documentation: Accurately document patient assessments, care plans,
treatments, and progress notes in accordance with legal and regulatory
requirements.

Job Summary
The Ophthalmology Band 5 Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients with a variety of eye conditions and diseases. This role involves comprehensive patient assessment, implementation of care plans, administration of
treatments, and support during specialized ophthalmic procedures. The nurse will work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and contribute to the ongoing improvement of ophthalmic services.
