We have a Band 6 registered paediatric nurse vacancy (part time 18.75h/week). We are seeking a Band 6 registered paediatric nurse who is motivated to develop their leadership skills to join an established and vibrant team on the surgical- gastro ward.

The post holder will be expected to assist with the day to day running of the unit, be involved in the management of a team of staff, and support the ward manager to develop services.

The surgical-gastro ward consist of 12 inpatient beds for 0-16 years old children   requiring admission mainly for conditions affecting the gut, associated organs and  general surgical conditions. We look however after general medicine, respiratory and endocrine patients as well. We serve the local population via A&E and referrals, and provide a specialist tertiary service for Paediatric Gastroenterology and Surgical patients, as well as other medical specialities.

Our Trust made a commitment to provide safe and compassionate care to our patients every day. The improvements we have made have been recognized by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). We are especially proud that our Children’s Hospital services are rated as good.
