Job overview
We are recruiting for a part-time Band 5 nurse to join our paediatric and adult ENT service at the Royal London Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic nurse wishing to develop their Ear Nose and Throat nursing skills further in the ENT clinic.
The successful candidate will demonstrated good interpersonal skills, together with the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team setting.
You will be expected to assist with every day management of patient care, providing support and information to the patients and relatives and ensuring high standards of patient care.
You will have opportunity to work in all areas of ENT and to develop your nursing skills amongst an experienced multi-disciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
To participate in and ensure that staff within the clinical area delivers evidence based nursing care in line with Trust policies, procedures and guidelines.
To act as a facilitator to junior staff and student nurses, allocated to the Outpatient department.
To support the team leader with the provision of services within agreed budgets and with the implementation of new developments.
To take charge of the team in the absence of senior nurses and ensure the smooth running of the department.
