Would you like to join our friendly midwifery team in East London? An exciting opportunity has arisen to extend your IT skills within a Midwifery setting.
We are looking to recruit a informatics specialist midwife and can offer an exciting opportunity to lead on informatics within the maternity department at Whipps cross Hospital.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and IT competent midwife. You will co-ordinate and lead on the digital strategy for Maternity at Whipps cross but also support the wider Barts health Informatics strategy working closely across site with your counterparts. You will also be required to support information technology regarding clinical documentation. Barts Health uses Cerner millennium (CRS) for recording clinical records therefore knowledge of a computer based clinical documentation is essential.
You will have overall responsibility to ensure the accuracy of data within the service and provide reports as required. The role also includes new developments in IT and currently we are in the process of securing a new Informatics system and so you will support its implementation.
The successful candidate will be supported by the senior management team and counterparts across the 3 maternity units and the wider informatics team.
Main duties of the job
As part of the Maternity Team, you will co-ordinate and provide information technology support and training. Have an overall responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of data within the service and work closely with the staff to ensure that they are supported with the inputting of correct information electronically. You will be responsible for the preparation of the maternity dashboard and would also incorporate producing monthly key performance indicator reports for dissemination, discussion, and data quality assurance.

- Educated to degree level
- Have knowledge and experience of working with data base, data analysis and coding
