We offer genuine opportunities to progress your career in Intensive Care, with one of the largest portfolios of services in the UK that includes more than 50 specialties.   

Our hospital is a leading specialist centre in Neurosciences, complex ENT, Urology, Cancer and a busy Emergency Department.

We guarantee learning and development supported by our highly trained team of nurses, our medical team, and our well-resourced critical care clinical education team. Each new Band 5 will be allocated to a team and supported by their own mentor, co-mentor and team leader.

Our Band 5 pathway includes the following opportunities:

  • foundation to critical care programme for you to build-up confidence and experience
    • rotate across different Intensive Care units to obtain experience in specialties
    • nationally recognised training using the Intensive Care network ‘step’ competencies
    • internationally recognised critical care course
    • simulation training
  • clinical coaching

Rotating opportunities across all four of our Intensive Care units includes cardiac, major trauma, neuro and general.
