We are looking for enthusiastic, responsible and dedicated Imaging assistants to join the Imaging team at Hammersmith Hospital -Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

The successful applicant will be required to assist Radiographers, Sonographers and Radiologists to help deliver a high quality patient focused service. They should have good communication skills, as both telephone and face to face patient contact is continuously required. They should be able to work as part of a team, with good listening skills and an ability to follow direction and protocol in a busy and ever changing working environment. They will also be expected to chaperone during intimate examinations, in particular when performing transvaginal ultrasound scans for female patients. These patients usually prefer a female to chaperone them and therefore we would prefer a female to do this role.

Some experience in a clinical environment and with patient care is essential, however further dedicated training for the specific role will be provided to the successful candidate.

To deliver our service, this role requires a flexible approach to work with the possible addition of evening and weekend shifts to current contracted hours on a rotational basis.

 Hammersmith Hospital offers a comprehensive range of procedures over all modalities with both clinical and research work being undertaken. As part of the first Academic Health Science Centre our aim is to provide world-class healthcare to our patients through excellence in research, educational and training.

·       Provide an efficient and reliable system for throughput of patients ensuring the activity and needs of the unit are achieved.

·       Assist with clerical needs of the unit
