As a Nurse Team Leader, you will work closely with the Children’s Outpatients Ward Leader and the multidisciplinary team (MDT), assisting patients during appointments, obtaining height and weight measurements, recording data, completing audits, and more. You will have the opportunity to interact with various specialties, patients, and carers to ensure that the patient journey continues to meet gold-standard care.
The Outpatient Transformation Project is currently underway, aiming to create a more child-friendly, bright, and inviting environment. We use the international electronic patient record system, EPIC, along with a Call Forward system to alert clinicians and patients when they are needed in the department. This system also provides patients with a visual aid showing clinic delay times, enhancing communication and the overall experience.
