Job overview
To support the Urology Nursing team to ensure the provision of excellent nursing care and the effective management of junior staff and other resources. To help maintain the day to day running and co-ordination of the Urology Diagnostic Suite and clinical areas. To assist in invasive procedures within the clinic.
Main duties of the job
- This is an exciting opportunity for a staff nurse to join the Urology team within the Urology Diagnostic Suite at Queen Mary Hospital.
- We are looking for a dedicated and passionate nurse who is able to support urology outpatients, families and carers.
- Clinical responsibilities include support for Urology Diagnostic Suite procedures and support for Urology CNS clinics.
- The post holder should be a good team player, with good communication skills.
- You are expected to cover cross sites- (SGH and Queen Mary’s Roehampton).

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- Providing support for the diagnostic suite procedures , such as, flexible cystoscopy, prostate biopsy, urodynamics, stent removal
- Supporting Urology CNS clinics
- Providing cover for the benign & stone service
- Supporting & informing patients
- Supporting the administration of the Diagnostic Suite service

Essential criteria
- Registered General Nurse
Experience
Essential criteria
- 2 years post registration
- Urology/Theatres or Oncology
Desirable criteria
- Catheterisation skills

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
