Job overview

Rotational Midwife

Permanent

37.5 hours per week (Part time available)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Registered Midwives who have completed their Preceptorship Programme, to join the Maternity Services of Hillingdon Hospital.

We are looking for dedicated and motivated midwives with high standards of clinical and communication skills. The successful applicant must have knowledge and experience in working in a highly pressurised and busy Maternity Unit, as well as all aspects of midwifery practice. They will be expected to provide supportive care to women throughout all stages of pregnancy.

This is a rotational midwifery post with the first rotation commencing within Triage/DAU. Rotation will include community, for which you will need to be a car owner/driver. You would be involved in the continuity of carer model as part of the Maternity Transformation project. This is demonstrated in different models of team working to provide continuity, and therefore rotation within different areas will be necessary.

We offer a strong commitment to professional development through appraisal, personal development plans and postgraduate study. Our Practice Development Team provides staff with a comprehensive package of training & clinical support and all our midwives are released from clinical work to attend an annual mandatory training programme.
