We are Trafford Local Care Organisation  (TLCO)- an exciting,  public sector organisation that is bringing together NHS community health services and social care services in the city. An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 3 Senior Health Care Assistant to join our new Community  Nursing Team in Altrincham, Trafford

We have 1  0.7 whole time equivalent and negotiable.

Main duties of the job

The suitable candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm and be highly motivated. You should be qualified with a relevant NVQ level 3 with excellent communication skills to join our friendly and dynamic Manchester Community Nursing Service) to provide high quality and personalized nursing & therapy care to patients in their own homes.

The service by nature is busy, diverse in an ever changing environment of health and social integration. If you would like to make a positive difference we would like to hear from you. The service runs 7 days a week, varying shift patterns are available and operates between 8:00 am and 22:00pm and includes Bank Holidays.

Previous community experience is preferred; however training will be available for the suitable candidate.

The role will involve travelling to patients homes from various locations across Trafford and you will need to demonstrate at interview how you will achieve this.

Education / qualification

Essential criteria
  • NVQ 3 and relevant experience
Desirable criteria
  • A1 – Assessors qualification
  • Willing to work towards foundation degree programme.

  • Working with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Assessing/supervising junior staff.
  • Dealing with patient and relative complaints as appropriate
