Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our supportive and dedicated Dermatology team as a Band 5 Staff Nurse!  

We are looking for a experienced, compassionate and motivated nurse to contribute to our growing Dermatology service, at Salford royal. You would be expected to cover  our services at Altrincham and Stockport when required, however,  your main site of working will be Salford.

 

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for the smooth running of the clinics and theatre sessions within the Dermatology Outpatients Departments. Theatre experience is desirable.

We offer the following services at Salford, all of which you would be trained in, in time:

-Dermatology clinics

-Dermatology theatres

-Laser

-MOHS surgery

-Patch testing

Communications and Relationships

You will communicate with people in an appropriate manner to ensure level of understanding incorporates preferred ways of communicating, culture and background. You will also be able to effectively communicate complex and sensitive information.

Analytical and Judgemental Skills

You will undertake data collection effectively using the agreed system to use judgemental skills to decide upon and recommend best course of action including escalation as appropriate.

Management and Organisational skills

You will practice in accordance with the professional, ethical and legal framework for nursing.

You will discuss and agree short, medium or long term goals, prioritise care and develop plans with the patient, family carer and health care team.

This vacancy is open to experienced nurses who have a current NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse in the UK.

Please note an NMC PRN Pin is not a full NMC Pin and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role. 

The NCA can no longer accept applications from International Nurses and Midwives who are yet to complete all competencies needed to receive a full NMC PIN to practice in the UK as we have paused our OSCE programme indefinitely.
