ARE YOU READY for your next NEW CHALLENGE? We are seeking to employ a highly motivated and skilled practitioner to join and expand our dynamic, friendly and diverse multi-disciplinary team. This is a real chance be a part of the Neurodevelopmental CAMHS transformation long term plan

We have an opportunity for a new part time  Band 6 CAMHS practitioner post in Tameside and Glossop CAMHS. This post is based within the Neurodevelopment Pathway. 

One of our priorities is supporting our team with their continued professional development. As such, we offer flexibility to ensure skills and knowledge are offered and expanded in many areas of our service.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

  • To support the neurodevelopmental assessment pathways, completing assessments with young people and their families and contributing to MDT discussions and decision making.
    • To ensure high quality CAMHS assessment of children and families referred to the service.
    • To provide advice and support to families about appropriate support strategies and signpost as appropriate to relevant external agencies. 
    • To be responsible for and manage a defined caseload and undertake case management responsibilities within the caseload.
    • To identify and develop strategies to manage risk to the child and others in line with Pennine care and CAMHS procedures and protocols.
    • To liaise closely with a wide range of agencies regarding individual care packages and to promote awareness of neurodevelopmental and child and adolescent mental health issues within these agencies.

Experience

  • Experience of professional involvement with the users of mental health services.
  • Experience of working with young people
  • Experience of multi-agency working

  • Significant post qualification experience in community mental health services Experience of relating to young people in a group or community

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of mental health issues in young people
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and National policies in relation to young people
  • Knowledge of therapeutic interventions with young people

  • Understanding of youth offending services
  • Knowledge of drug and alcohol issues relating to young people
  • Knowledge of neurodevelopmental conditions
