Hybrid Working – Applicant will be responsible for two sites in Lancashire and will travel to said sites once per week as a minimum (each). Applicants must be available and prepared to be on-site during working hours as required by the organisation, with flexible home-working around these times. We are unable to guarantee what days/times an applicant will be working from home and diaries are managed autonomously by individual practitioners based on service need.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The Post Holder will also contribute to training and education of the residential team as well as facilitating reflective practice sessions to ensure all intervention is effective and evidence based. The Post Holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures. The post holder will be expected to work as an integral part of a multidisciplinary core team in risk management and case formulation for cases of concern referred to the service. The role requires the ability to work collaboratively, efficiently and effectively with mental health services, whilst maintaining the need to work safely and sensitively with service users present with a full range of clinical needs and risk behaviours, and the ability to engage with, and respond to, highly complex clinical, professional and ethical challenges and demands on clinicians and services. Provide a specialist assessment and treatment service based upon comprehensive assessment of the young people’s needs from a variety of sources, including psychological assessments, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations, as well as interviews with young people, family members and others involved in the young person’s care. Supporting colleagues and residential staff to reflect on their practice and empathy levels, with reference to Young Person formulation and personal/professional boundaries. Provide weekly 1:1 session with each young person on your caseload, supporting recovery-focused goal setting and care evaluation in line with the Care Programme Approach. You will be responsible for supporting the Young Person to acknowledge their needs and priorities for recovery, implementing interventions to support recovery toward greater independence. You will hold the Young Person’s risk formulation and understand their use of risk strategies, aiming to minimise harm caused to them whilst promoting choice and individual responsibility. Support and deliver therapeutic group work. Support the organisation on-call (nights and weekends as per rota) Support duty cover for the organisation (during office hours) Proactive stakeholder engagement with key stakeholders Screening referrals Assessing suitability of new clients Delivering training Supervision - line management of multi-agency professionals Support systemic growth and development by engaging in working parties Completing qualitative and quantitative audits and identifying any recurring themes with a solution focused outlook and a dedication to learning lessons and improving outcomes. Provide advice and consultation in respect to individual cases within the wider MDT Utilise outcome measures and feedback to improve clinical practice in line with clinical governance agendas To engage in joint assessments and treatments with members of the multi-disciplinary team Work across a number of settings, being involved in the dynamics of various different multidisciplinary teams and environments |
