This is an exciting opportunity to join our hardworking and dynamic nursing team in the Clinical Decision unit  where every day is different, and always something new to learn. 

Main duties of the job

As a Sister/Charge Nurse at Clinical Decision Unit , able to assist the patient/carers/relatives during the incidental contacts .

Manage the Department , lead the team , coordinating the activities of the ward team and deploying resources effectively .

Ensure that effective communication is maintained both within the ward /department and with relevant external agencies or individuals .

Education & Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Post registration qualification in Emergency Nursing or equivalent
  • Manchester Triage System qualification
Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of study at degree level
  • ALS
  • Supporting learners in practice course

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • An understanding of the need of confidentiality awareness at all times
  • Updated research and evidence-based practice.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety issues
  • Awareness of legislation relevant to the post

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working in adult care
  • Evidence of continual professional development
  • Evidence of ability to effectively co-ordinate a team
  • Safeguarding level 3 training

Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrate ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care
