Ward Sister / Charge Nurse – Cardiology Ward (A11)

Permanent position 

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered General Nurse with a passion for Cardiology to join Ward A11 as a Ward Sister / Charge Nurse. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Band 5 Nurse ready to take the next step in their career, or for an established Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse looking to further develop their leadership skills within a busy and dynamic cardiology environment. Ward A11 provides specialist care for patients admitted under the Medical Directorate for cardiology assessment, treatment, and ongoing management. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Ward Manager to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality patient care.

 If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £54.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary

In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £16.

  • RGN/RN(NMC registered)
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development

Experience

  • Experience in cardiology or area of specialty
  • experience in hospital setting
Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of professional leadership, leading to innovation in practice.

  • Evidence of delivering education and training to staff and patients

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Mentors / Assessors / teaching Qualification
  • Experience as Band 5 or 2 years or more
