Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 6 Sister to join our Outpatient service within the Royal Hospital. The role requires experience of leading a large team within a high volume patient area.
The role also requires an extensive ophthalmic knowledge and clinical skills including venopuncture , cannulation and I/V medication.
Main duties of the job
This post is 1.0 WTE . The post holder will have other duties at band 6 level which include co-ordination of clinics, and deputising for the department manager in their absence. The successful candidate will act as the clinical expert and professional resource to the Multi-Professional team, patients and carers within their Speciality Service.
We are looking for someone with experience of working in a high volume healthcare environment, experience of working in an Ophthalmic setting
would be an advantage.
This post holder will be a core member of the Outpatient Team. The post
holder will undergo full training to ensure a smooth transition into the role. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to take on a new challenge and develop this role.
