Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre Liverpool within our Interventional Radiology & Brachytherapy departments.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner to work across the service & cover all elements of the patient pathway including Pre Assessment, assisting with invasive procedures, practitioner led sedation, post op recovery and discharge.

Main duties of the job

  • Responsible for safe and effective care of patients in pre operative, the perioperative and post-operative periods
  • Perform pre operative assessments for patients to ensure fitness for treatment
  • Assist medical staff when they are performing invasive procedures.
  • Responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care.
  • Responsible for complete nursing care of patients without supervision.
  • In conjunction with the Theatre Manager and multidisciplinary team, work to provide a safe comprehensive and efficient delivery of theatre services
