Rheumatology Specialist Nurse

The Rheumatology service at Southport District General Hospital Is committed to providing outstanding care, support, and treatment to a wide range of patients with auto-immune conditions.
We are currently expanding the rheumatology service and are looking for a compassionate individual with an interest in rheumatology to join our dynamic team which currently consists of 3 rheumatology consultants, 3 rheumatology specialist nurses, a rheumatology physiotherapist, occupational therapist and podiatrist.
As a rheumatology specialist Practitioner you will work closely with the wider members of the multi-professional team but predominantly you will work autonomously, in a clinical role. You will be responsible for running nurse-led clinics, assessing rheumatologic conditions, educating and supporting patients with regards to their condition and treatment pathways. Management of their disease incorporating best practice according to National Guidelines.
Applicants must have an interest in Rheumatology. Should the applicant not meet all essential criteria we would encourage the individual to contact the rheumatology specialist nurse to arrange an informal visit and discussion.
