An opportunity has arisen for Band 3 Healthcare Support Workers to work as part of the clinical team within ward 11 in the Royal Glamorgan Hospital.

The successful candidate will be required to have had past surgical experience and work under the direct supervision of the registered nurse and will be expected to undertake fundamental aspects of patient care at Band 3 criteria including undertaking patient’s vital signs of surgical patients.

The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of the registered nurse and will be expected to undertake fundamental aspects of patient care  at Band 3 criteria including undertaking patient’s vital signs.

The individual will be required to have good communication skills to be able to relate to patients, members of patient’s families and the multidisciplinary team that work within the clinical area.

This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. Whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn’t ‘fluency’, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means being able to communicate in Welsh during routine clinical situations, such as welcoming patients, discussing straightforward aspects of their care and answering routine questions.
