We are recruiting a dedicated Matron to lead our specialist Rehabilitation services across both inpatient and community settings in Ipswich, Suffolk. This full-time, permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to provide senior clinical leadership, ensuring safe, effective, and recovery-focused care. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting staff wellbeing, driving service development, and maintaining high standards of patient care. With responsibilities spanning operational oversight, quality improvement, caseload management, and strategic collaboration, this is a vital leadership position that will help shape the future of rehabilitation services. The role is offered at Band 8a (or as per local agreement).
Main duties of the job
As Matron, you will work closely with the specialist rehabilitation leadership team to ensure high-quality, recovery-focused care is delivered across both inpatient and community services. You will provide professional leadership to the nursing workforce, supporting clinical excellence and service development.
You will foster a culture of openness, learning, and continuous improvement, ensuring staff have the skills, systems, and support to deliver evidence-based rehabilitation care. You will embed lessons learned into practice to enhance patient experience and outcomes.
