Main duties of the job
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Act as a role model in delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care.
- Administer medication safely in line with NMC and Trust policies.
- Support SSIS data collection and follow-up calls, recording information appropriately, in line with GDPR.
- Manage Ward attenders and review surgical wounds including wound management, as per trust policy.
- Monitor and review nursing practice to ensure compliance with best practice and Trust frameworks.
- Provide sensitive care and support to patients and families, particularly around complex needs and emotional aspects of illness.
- Ensure safe use of medical devices and appropriate use of pressure area care equipment
